NSP was established in the year 2010 for propagating advances in field of neurology.
It consists of Neurophysicians and Neurosurgeons practicing in the city of Pune. They used to
have once monthly neuromeets where different hospitals would present their cases. These
clinical meets are continuing till date. These meets have very interactive discussions.
The first big conference organised under banner of NSP was annual national conference of
Indian Academy of Neurology, IANCON 2011 in Pune. After successfully organising this
conference, it was decided to have a bigger format of neuromeets and thus started the Approach
meet.
The Approach meet is organised once in 2 years and are attended by neurologists from all
corners of India. It is one of its kind meeting in neurology which has been on national
stage.
Launched the Approach Meet - a biennial national-level neurology conference.
NSP regularly organizes Invited lectures from eminent speakers in neurology, updating practicing neurologists in the city with the latest advancements.
The Approach meeting for postgraduate students in neurology is another benchmark in neurology education, organized annually to foster learning among future neurologists.
NSP is a registered society under the Societies Act, with its daily operations managed by an executive committee elected through a fair election process among society members. The society currently has over 70 members.
NSP has set exceptionally high standards in neurology education over the years, continuously evolving to provide quality education and expertise.
Recently, NSP has initiated a public awareness campaign about various neurological diseases, utilizing social media platforms to stay aligned with technological advancements.
